What makes building some habits so hard?
Optimizing your health and living your best life comes down to habits.
Most of us "know what to do", we just "don't do it".
That's because most of us don't know how to form and solidify habits.
I have also read and studied these books very carefully and gleaned lots of useful information from them.
I include many of the incredibly useful strategies I learned from those books in our weight loss program and in my performance coaching practice.
The only drawback to those books is that they rely on our conscious mind.
They assume that we understand and remember the structure of a habit.
The success of their strategies is reliant on someone having sufficient planning and motivation to fully develop new habits.
Of course, we help our clients with all of that.
But much of that work is done at the superficial, conscious level.
And in our modern, busy, hectic lives where we are so externally focused, that is not enough.
After using these methods with many clients I noticed that they worked but not as well as I had hoped.
I needed more tools for myself and our clients!
